NOTICE
The Public Institution of the Palais de la Porte Dorée (hereinafter the "Institution") is situated at the Palais de la Porte Dorée (hereinafter the "Palais") and comprises the Musée National de l’Histoire de l'Immigration (hereinafter the "Museum") and a tropical Aquarium (hereinafter the "Aquarium").
The Institution has set up a website which enables, among other things, the purchase of admission tickets, whose address is: https://palaisportedoree.tickeasy.com (hereinafter the "Site").
The Site allows its users (hereinafter referred to as "the user" or "users") to obtain access to various services offered by the Institution and thereby engage in various financial transactions with the Institution.
Any purchase of these services is strictly subject to the prior acceptance of these General Terms of Sale for the Site (hereinafter the "GTS") without restriction or reservation. The applicable GTS shall be those accepted by the user, in the version effective at the time the order is placed.
As these GTS may be changed from time to time, we suggest that users check them regularly on the Site.
The first line of this page shows the date of the latest update.
ARTICLE 1. PURPOSE
The purpose of these GTS is to establish contractual provisions setting forth the rights and obligations of the Institution and of the user in the context of orders placed by the latter on the Site.
ARTICLE 2. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
This contract consists entirely of these GTS. Users shall indicate their awareness and unreserved acceptance of these GTS by checking the box provided prior to confirming any order.
ARTICLE 3. CONDITIONS OF ACCESS TO THE SITE
The use of the Site requires a connection to the Internet, preferably a high-speed connection.
Users may browse the Site from any computer, mobile phone or other mobile device.
It is specified that the Institution has no responsibility for these connections.
ARTICLE 4. DESCRIPTION OF ORDERS SUBMITTABLE VIA THE SITE AND PRICES
4.1 Tickets sold, prices and period of validity
On the Site, users are able to order the following admission tickets:
- an admission ticket to the Aquarium or the Museum, at the full price of €8 or the reduced price of €5;
- a dual admission ticket for the Aquarium and the Museum, at the full price of €12 or the reduced price of €9;
- a ticket for a guided tour of the Museum, the Aquarium or the Palais, at the full price of €12 or the reduced price of €9;
- an annual pass providing unlimited access to the Museum or the Aquarium, available in a "solo" or "duo" version, entitled "Carte Musée" or "Carte Aquarium", at the price of €20 (solo) and €35 (duo), and an annual pass providing unlimited access to the Museum and the Aquarium entitled "Carte Jumelée", at the price of €30 (solo) and €45 (duo);
- a ticket to take part in a family workshop in connection with the Museum, the Aquarium or the Palais, at the full price of €10 or the reduced price of €6;
- a ticket for a show or concert, at the full price of €18 or €12, or the reduced price of €9;
Each admission ticket is valid for only one person (who may also include a companion in the case of "duo" passes), for the date and, if applicable, the time indicated thereupon, or during a specified period.
Any departure from the Institution's exhibition areas, which are subject to the presentation of an admission ticket, is final.
Annual passes are personal and non-transferable. The Institution reserves the right to check the identity of the person presenting the pass before allowing access to the exhibitions.
The Institution reserves the right to modify its prices at any time. Admission tickets will nevertheless be invoiced on the basis of the prices in force at the time of the user’s confirmation of their order.
4.2 Exemptions
Visitors may in certain cases be exempt from payment of admission charges to the Institution's exhibitions and the activities organised by the Institution, on presentation of proof of entitlement.
The exemptions possible are specified on the Site in the document entitled "Price List," available at the following url:

For Museum, Aquarium or dual admission tickets, the exemptions are:
• Visitors aged under 26,
• Jobseekers and people on income support,
• Asylum seekers and refugees,
• Civilian disabled + 1,
• Military disabled + 1,
• "Pass Education" holders (teachers)
• "Carte Culture" (French Ministry of Culture) holders + 1,
• ICOM/ICOMOS members,
• Journalists,
• Tour guides,
• CRT Paris/IDF professional card holders,
• Artists affiliated to the MDA or CNFAP.
4.3 Reduced rates
The Institution offers reduced rates on the admission tickets to its exhibitions and the activities it organises.
- For Museum, Aquarium or dual admission tickets:
• Students,
• "Large Family" card holders,
• Aquarium pass holders for the Museum ticket,
• Museum pass holders for the Aquarium ticket.
- For tickets for guided tours, family workshops, shows or concerts:
• Visitors aged under 26,
• Students,
• Jobseekers and people on income support,
• Civilian disabled + 1,
• Military disabled + 1,
• "Carte Culture" (French Ministry of Culture) holders + 1,
• ICOM/ICOMOS members,
• Pass Education holders (teachers)
• Journalists,
• Tour guides,
• CRT Paris/IDF professional card holders, • Artists affiliated to the MDA or CNFAP,
• Aquarium, Museum or dual admission pass holders,
• "Large Family" card holders.
4.4 Promotional codes
Occasionally, special promotional codes may be sent to users by email allowing them to benefit from reduced rates. The message sent will specify the type of promotion and the terms governing its use.
When users have finalised their orders, and before confirming their order, they must enter the promotional code in the corresponding field of their cart.
ARTICLE 5. PROCEDURE FOR PLACING AN ORDER ON THE SITE
5.1 Selecting products
Users select the admission ticket(s) and/or products(s) they wish to order on the Site. These are then displayed in a virtual cart.
After they have made their selection:
- users who already have a personal account with the Institution must log into their personal account using their username and password in order to submit their order for ticket and/or product(s) via the Site;
- users who do not have a personal account with the Institution must create a personal account on the Site before they can place their order.
5.2 Creation a personal account
5.2.1 Conditions for creating an account
To create an account, the following conditions must both be met:
- users must be at least sixteen years old on the date of creating their account,
- users must have a functioning email address.
5.2.2 How to create an account
Once users have filled their virtual shopping cart to submit their first order, they must create an account to finalise it.
To create an account, users must complete an identification form with the following information: title, surname, first name, email address, password, postcode and country. Information in the "telephone," "date of birth," "address (no., street name)" and "city" fields is optional.
Users may also tick a box, if they so wish, formally confirming that they wish to receive information about the Institution by electronic means.
Once the user has properly completed and validated the form, an email confirming the account creation will be sent to the email address entered in the form.
Users undertake to provide personal information that is accurate, verifiable, complete and up to date on the account creation date. Any fraudulent creation of accounts, or the creation of accounts using a false identity or pseudonym is strictly prohibited.
If any change subsequently occurs to the information that the user provided when registering on the Site, they may modify the information directly in their personal account, or may send a modification request using the contact form provided on the Site.
Users who use their accounts or any data or content accessible on the Site in any unauthorised manner may incur civil and/or criminal liability.
5.3 Placing orders
Once they have finished creating an account, users may submit their orders.
Users may obtain a summary of all admission tickets selected at any time before payment and, if they wish, may change the order in their cart.
Users eligible for price reductions or exempted from the payment of tickets are responsible for providing the appropriate proof of entitlement, as indicated on the Site. Such proof of entitlement will be checked on the premises of the Institution when the user presents admission tickets ordered online on the Site.
If the user has forgotten their proof of entitlement or if this is invalid, the Institution may refuse admission to the exhibition area corresponding to their order, and the user shall have no recourse against the Institution in this case.
Users are responsible for verifying the entire content of their cart as indicated in the order summary as well as all the contact details indicated in their personal account before clicking the order confirmation button.
As soon as the user clicks the confirmation button, the order will be confirmed and final.
ARTICLE 6. TERMS OF PAYMENT, ORDER SUMMARY MESSAGE, DELIVERY OF TICKETS ORDERED AND REFUND AND EXCHANGE TERMS
6.1 Terms of payment
Payment may be made for orders placed online with any valid bank card accepted on the Site (the bank cards accepted on the Site are exclusively the domestic Carte Bleue, Visa and Mastercard).
When the order is confirmed, a pre-authorisation will be run on the user’s bank card. The amount corresponding to the user's purchases will be debited from their bank account as soon as payment has been made online.
All payments made via the Site are protected by a security system compliant with the payment protocol managed by the company Payzen.
The user guarantees to the Institution that they have all the authorisations required to use the means of payment chosen on the Site.
The Institution does not see and does not keep the user's bank card data, and relies on its secure payment partner Payzen to guarantee the security and confidentiality of the data transmitted during online payment.
If the user's bank refuses to debit their bank account, the purchase will not be confirmed and the user will need to contact their bank.
Users acknowledge that the Institution shall in no case be held responsible for fraudulent payments made with their bank card.
6.2 Order summary message and delivery of ticket(s) ordered
6.2.1 Orders for tickets
Once the user's order has been confirmed and the charge has been pre-authorised on their bank card, an order confirmation will be sent by email containing the admission ticket(s) ordered as attachment(s).
N.B. A printout of the confirmation page or purchase confirmation email sent by the Institution to the user does not constitute an admission ticket. These documents may not be used as admission ticket(s) under any circumstances, and will not grant access to the Institution's exhibitions and activities.
Upon purchase confirmation, tickets sent to the order confirmation email as attachments will be available in PDF format and may be printed. They may also be printed by the user at any time up to the visit date from their personal account, accessible on the Site.
To be valid, tickets must be printed on white A4 paper, blank on the front and back. The user must print as many tickets with bar codes as there are ticket holders.
6.2.2 Orders for annual passes
Once the user's order has been confirmed and the charge has been pre-authorised on their bank card, an order confirmation will be sent by email.
The user can then collect their annual pass by presenting the order confirmation email that they have received at one of the Institution's cash desks.
The start date for the validity of the annual pass is selected by the user at the time of the online order.
6.3 Conditions for reimbursement and exchange of ticket(s)
6.3.1 Refunds and exchanges of tickets
Pursuant to Article L. 221-28 12° of the French Consumer Code, users are not entitled to the 14-day cooling-off period provided for under Article L. 221-18 of that Code.
Tickets purchased may not be returned or refunded, even if lost or stolen or if the user forgets to bring them to their visit; the user expressly accepts this.
Under exceptional circumstances, and particularly in the context of technical and security requirements that may be imposed upon it, the Institution reserves the right to deny access to the public or modify its public opening hours.
In this context, if the service indicated on the ticket ordered by the user is cancelled, the Institution will contact the user by email as soon as possible to notify them of the situation, and will offer them:
- either the postponement of the service concerned to a different day and/or time using the same admission ticket, if possible;
- or a refund on the ticket concerned, specifying how the refund will be made.
6.3.2 Refunds and exchanges of annual passes
Pursuant to Article L. 221-28 12° of the French Consumer Code, users are not entitled to the 14-day cooling-off period provided for under Article L. 221-18 of that Code.
Any subscription purchased can neither be taken back nor refunded, which the user expressly accepts.
In the event of loss or theft, the user may ask for a new annual pass to be issued at one of the Institution's cash desks.
ARTICLE 7. USER’S COMMITMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Users agree that they will not commit any violation of the legal and regulatory provisions in force or of these GTS in their use of the Site.
Users are hereby notified that any violation of these provisions may incur civil and/or criminal liability, including legal proceedings or sanctions.
Users acknowledge that the Institution further reserves the right to delete their personal account and/or block their access to the Site without prior notice if their use of the Site contravenes these GTS, or more generally violates the legislative and regulatory provisions in force.
In general, the Institution shall not be held responsible for any use of the Site in contravention of the provisions of these GTS.
ARTICLE 8. PERSONAL DATA AND COOKIES
8.1 Personal data collected directly from users via the Site
In order to allow them to use of the features of the Site, the Institution will collect users’ personal data via the form used to create users’ personal accounts.
The data collected via the Site is subject to processing; the data controller for this processing is the Institution, and its purpose is the administrative processing of orders and transactions carried out via the Site, and the production of statistics.
The data recorded is reserved for the use of authorised departments within the Institution and may be communicated to subcontracted providers involved in the ticket purchase process. Personal data collected in this way shall be kept for a period of three years from the last purchase made on the Site.
In accordance with the French Data Protection Act ("Loi informatique et libertés") No. 78-17 of January 6, 1978 as amended, users have the right to access and correct data concerning them, and to object, on legitimate grounds, to the Institution’s processing of such data.
Users may thus request to be provided with any data held by the Institution concerning them for correction, additions, clarification, updating or erasure. Users may exercise these rights by contacting the appropriate department at the Institution via the following address:

If users have given their consent to such processing when creating their personal account by checking the corresponding box, the Institution may also reuse personal data concerning them in order to send them information about the Site or the Institution (this may include news, practical information, the Palais’ newsletter, or information on events, exhibitions, etc.), and/or promotional offers and invitations to events organised by the Institution.
However, if users no longer wish to receive such information and offers, they may unsubscribe from these emails at any time either by clicking the hypertext link provided for such purpose in the email received or by forwarding the unwanted email to the address dpd@palais-portedoree.fr and specifying the nature of the request.
The Institution undertakes to implement and enforce such security measures as it may deem necessary to ensure the confidentiality of the data collected on the Site for the time required for its processing in accordance with these GTS and the above-mentioned French Data Protection Act.
8.2 Data collected indirectly from users ("Cookies")
8.2.1 Cookies used by the Institution
No trackers or cookies for commercial use are stored by the Institution on the computing devices used by Site users.
The Institution does, however, store trackers required for the normal operation of the Site (such as those used for the creation of virtual shopping carts), and trackers used to produce browsing statistics.
Analytical cookies and Site audience measurement cookies are also used, in order to provide information concerning the Site's use and audience performance levels, and to help improve its operation.
The Site uses cookies in particular via the "Google Analytics" service to measure and analyse users' browsing behaviour. The data collected in this manner allows the Institution to optimise and improve the Site for its users.
By continuing to use the Site, users accept such practices, of which they will be informed by the display of a specific banner.
8.2.2 Configuration of User's Internet browsers
Users may configure their browsers to accept or refuse all cookies, delete cookies periodically, see when a given cookie has been issued and check its validity and content, or refuse to save a given cookie on their hard drives/device.
Users may at any time choose to block or disable cookies by configuring the Internet browser on their device (computer, tablet or mobile phone) in accordance with the instructions provided by the internet browser's provider and as indicated on the websites mentioned below.
Users should, however, be aware that certain personalised services provided by the Site require the user to accept cookies. If the user's browser is configured to refuse them, access to these services may be altered or rendered impossible.

9.INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
9.1 Intellectual property rights relating to the Site
The Institution is the owner of all intellectual property rights relating to the Site. Users undertake to refrain from any use of the Site in a manner undermining or contravening the legislative and regulatory provisions applicable under French law, and in particular to comply with laws protecting intellectual property rights.
Any total or partial reproduction of the Site made without prior permission from the Institution in writing is prohibited and constitutes an act of infringement punishable under Articles L. 335-2 et seq. of the French Intellectual Property Code.
9.2 Intellectual property rights relating to trademarks and logos
The Institution owns the trademarks and logos that appear on the Site. No use may be made of these trademarks and logos without prior authorisation in writing from the Institution.
Any total or partial use or display of these verbal, semi-figurative or figurative trademarks without the express and prior authorisation of the Institution is punishable under Article L. 716-1 of the French Intellectual Property Code.
10. APPLICABLE LAW - JURISDICTION
The Site and these General Terms of Sale are subject to French law. In the event of any dispute, French courts sitting in Paris will have exclusive jurisdiction after all means of amicable recourse have been exhausted.
